Christmas is very different here in New Zealand and no matter how hard you try it is impossible to capture that Christmas spirit that was so special in UK. The beautiful snow that we dream of having on Christmas day (which never seemed to happen), those cosy nights in front of the fire watching those good old favourite Christmas movies that we watch year after year (yawn), stuffing ourselves until we feel sick with chocolates and turkey sandwiches for the next week (Yuk!) not to forget too much alcohol (oh those hangovers).  Diets that start religiously in the New Year....Yeh right! - we never keep them up!
